Using WH-H900N headphones with NW-A45 walkman

I already have the walkman and I am looking for better earphones/headphones.

Am I correct in thinking that if I bought bluetooth headphones such as WH-H900Ns I would not be able to use any sound settings on the walkman?

I have these headphones and did have this player, (currently into sony for repair).

The sound settings have no effect when connected to the headphones via bluetooth but the sound can be altered using the sony headphones connect app, which despite the reviews on google play, i think works well.
