Sony WF-1000X poor sound quality and drops a lot

I've recently purchased the WF-1000X wireless earbuds. I'm so disappointed. There's zero richness in the sound; I've circled through all settings in the equaliser,too.

My Apple Airpods sound so much better. I only bought the WF's for noise cancelling whilst in the office.

Anyone else disappointed with the sound quality? Tinny, is how I'd describe it.

wanted to ask what you thought of the noise cancelling feature?

I have to admit that I'm not overly impressed. Whilst on the train this morning, listening to a podcast, I could hear so much around me. I could even hear my own stomach rumbling!
