Dear All, I would like to install 2GB of ram in my VGN A195EP. The manual states that 1GB is the maximum allowable. www.crucial.com does not list the VGN A195EP's limits.
Has anyone successfully installed over 1GB on this model? The chipset is i855pm.
The official response from www.crucial.com is: ------------------------------------------------------------------- The maximum of memory you can have on this Sony Vaio VGN A195EP Notebook is 1024Mb. You have two memory slots so that means you can put a 512MB stick as a maximum in each of your slots.
You will need a DDR (SODIMM) upgrade for your system, all of the modules listed below are compatible with your system.
