Hard Drive upgrade!

Hi I was thinking of upgrading my hard drive from 80gb to 120gb. Currently i've 80gb 4200 rpms one, I want to buy 120GB with 5400 or 7200 rpms. But i'm not sure if that will be compatible with the laptop. As i'm aware there are some heating issues in laptops with 7200 rpms but still this is almost new model so may be i have a chance!

It is possible, and the Hitatchi range are supposed to run cooler than most 7200RPM drives

I'm interested in doing this too but I'd like to keep my recovery partition. If I put the old 80gb drive in a caddy and use as a USB drive, can I transfer the recovery partition? Does that mean I can still choose the rescue option at boot-up or would I have to transfer the boot sector too?
