For some reason my dad is unable to read any books (including books previously read) on his Sony PRS-350. They are coming up as DRM restricted - this has only happened in the last few months and he read the books well before then. He hasn't downloaded any new books in over 6 months. I've tried connecting, ejecting and disconnecting as well as hitting the reset button but nothing has changed. There are no books in the library on the reader library. Any help would be very grateful!!!! Although please bear in mind that I am not very knowledgeable in the tech department!
Hello mistymo - this sounds a bit drastic ! I think you need some expert help here - I wonder if Thalamus would like to chip in ?
Hopefully it's something software-y that has happened to someone else here, and has a specific route out, but it's beyond me - apart fom the easy first steps which you appear to have taken already......

It maybe that the reader is no longer authorised to read DRM books. You need to look in the settings of the reader then select about (the last one in the setting menu).
Then at the top it will tell you if its authorised for DRM.
sehuxle - checked and it says that the device is authorized for reading Adobe DRM content
Ok is it possible that the authorisation has changed from when the books were originally purchased a and loaded into the reader
