Well, I've just had a go on the Search in Reader Store, haven't used it since it opened.....

Yes, rubbish, isn't it !

I "Searched" for ...

1) Tolkein, in many versions of initials, just surname, first name, initials, all came up with "can't find the page you want.

2) Tried "The Hobbit" - no results found.

3)   "    "The Lord Of The Rings ".....   got "Alook Behind the Lord of the Rings" ....:smileyconfused:

4)   "     "Michael Connolly" - success ! Got "International Business Science"  (£35-).

No other author or books on offer......

So I hit the "Top" Authors, and it took me to Michael Connolly the Thriller writer, eventually....

So the Search works, but erratically, if you ask me - and how they don't have LOR or The Hobbitt is a bit of a mystery, surely.

Couldn't be bothered to mess about much longer I'm afraid, but I think it needs a bit of  .... work, and a few more books.

Check your PMs.

As a Brit living in Denmark, I registered my PRS T1's country as "United Kingdom", with the intent of buying English publications. Guess what, because I do not have a UK registered credit card I can not buy books from Sony's book store, This is the exact reason I steered away from Kindle ( although if you buy Kindle from Amazon US you can purchase books, but are charged in dollars ) Sony do not make this clear in it's advertising, I wrote to Sony and was advised I should de-register my computer and ereader, however I was not given an alternative apart from, I could try buying from another ebook seller that accepted foreign credit cards...

I understand there may be some international copyright thing going on, but If I am in an airport no one stops you buying a book because your flying to the US.

In my opinion This kind of assanine thinking fuels ilegal downloads.

I love the product hate the support system.

The problem is the geographic limitations arrangements - and in UK, we can't buy from Amazon US, but have to go through Amazon UK , there is a link on the US site.

Re: the credit card situation - I buy from US sites using PayPal, which automatically converts the purchase into sterling - would this work in Denmark ? [ But in Danish krone, obviously...]
