Hi,
I have Anquet mapping on my phone (https://www.anquet.com/), which I use for tracking walks. The data collected are uploaded to the cloud and then downloaded to my PC version of the mapping software for processing. This gives me statistics like distance travelled, height climbed, route profile, etc. The mapping software is based on the Ordnance Survey Maps (I use 1:50000 Series).
Whist tracking is in progress, I can acccess an information screen, which gives me location, time spent travelling, distance travelled and also an instantaneous reading of current altitude. Whilst the information is correct when I downbload it to the PC, what is shown on the phone screen isn't, eg my home location is at 129m above sea level but the phone shows a varying figure that's much lower, about 80m. I've reset the mapping system per Anquet's help forum but it makes no difference. They've asked that I check whether there could be a problem with the altitude function on the phone, but is there one?
Thanks,
Ian
