Hello, my Sony TV has started a loud Ladies voice whenever  I input any instructions from the remote ie when the volume is changed up or down a loud voice says speaker volume a certain number depending on how high or low I have the volume set at,also when searching for apps or programs, there’s a running commentary on what has been selected,it’s driving me mad.I’ve searched through the various to menus but can’t find anything to switch the voice over off,

any ideas anyone? thanks, Michael.

It will be something in your accessibility options. On the latest TVs it is called TalkBack but may be something different on your TV.

Hello, thanks for the reply.I will have another look at the TV menus again and also the link you sent me thanks,the tv is a few years old now, it strange that it has happened suddenly,

Hello again,I have tried the link that you have sent me and unfortunately there is no accessibility option on this tv it is about 8 years old now.There doesn’t seem to be anything else in the settings menu that relates voice narration,

All Sony TVs have accessibility settings, did you look under System?

Hello,I finally managed to get into the accessibility menu and have turned the voice narrative off.Thanks for all your help,it’s greatly appreciated,Michael
