Hi all,
Hope everything is fine with you, My Android TV (kd-50x81j), started being weird. The UI became so slow, and every time I tried to select an app (like YouTube), UI got restarted. I did a factory reset, and after that I only see vertical lines on the TV as you can see in the photos.
When did you buy this TV, is it still under warranty.
If it is still under warranty you must get in touch with whoever sold you the TV and
arrange for them to come out and assess the TV.
If the fault turns out to be the LED panel then the only course of action
is to get a replacement TV.
From your avatar badge it looks like you are in Sweden,
when you bought the TV were you offered a multi year warranty.
If it is out of warranty and the TV is not very old you may be protected by
consumer laws (as long as the problem is not caused by external damage).
Don't know what the consumer laws are in Sweden so can't advise further.
Hi @daveyh64 ,
Thanks for the answer, I bought the TV 4 years ago and I do not believe it has warranty anymore!
In addition, when the TV starts and SONY logo appears, it seems perfect. After that, Google's logo suppose to appear on the screen, but instead I get some blue, green and red dots on the screen! That's why I think there is not issue with LCD panel. Some thing is wrong with GPU or something like that :(.

If it is out of warranty then that's a shame.
You will probably have to get an engineer (Sony approved) out to assess the situation.
They should be able to run diagnostics to check which components have failed,
then tell you how much it may cost to repair.
I guess when the TV starts up with the black screen and white Sony logo
it is not using the full graphics capability of the TV and only when it switches
to full graphics mode it reveals the problem.
So you may be correct the graphics board has failed.
There was a recent update made available for your TV in July, do you know if you
installed it.
It may be worth downloading the firmware update to your computer copying it to a
USB stick and plugging that into the TV.
It is a long shot but perhaps the process of installing new firmware may clear your problem,
as I say it is a very long shot.
Download and read the instructions here,
thanks again @daveyh64 , I will try to install the new firmware. If it does not help, then I need a technician.
