I don't think it has an ASF

Z1 was the last device to be equipped with AS Film(It was very prone to scratch, hmm).

Newer device doesn't have this(but not sure whether Z2/Z3 is still shatter-proof or not)

Ok Worried_Face
I think the back of the Z3 is fairly sensitive to micro-scratches, by cons there are no scratches on the front. which is why I posed the question.

This is particularly unfortunate from Sony, the back glass should be the strong point of the device not the weak point.

Well the front glass should be more stronger or say shatterproof... And that's why Sony has done this way. Well everyone rests their phone on the table or grass 😛 or wherever with the back of the phone though. So, a scratch film on the back is necessary thats it...

A shatter-and-scratch-proof glass is the only way to solve the scratch prone of the back if you don't want to buy back Anti Scratch Film 😕

the first day I got my Z3, I ended up with what appears to be a semi deep small scratch. I mean I didn't even put it in my pocket or anything, I was only holding it. must have been my ring that made the scratch but it would have been done with next to no effort. even with my cover on I sometimes take it off to find some randome new scratches :s it's strange.

Or maybe you could just remove the Anti Shatter Film in and replace with another Anti Scratch-Shatter Back Protector(does it even exist?)
