I think i've came across a post in another thread from SONY that said to get the ASF replaced you need to take it into a Sony repair shop or dealer so they can do it. It's not cheap, I believe someone said that is was over $100 because they had to replace a screen or such rather than just the ASF itself. It's not a screen protector, it's not scratch resistant, that's why I cannot stress enough to invest in a good quality screen protector to place over the ASF. I did so and haven't had any problems with sensitivity or clarity which is obviously the main concerns when thinking you'd have two layers of plastic over the screen but it doesn't inhibit my Z what so ever. I don't think this film will ever be sold seperatley since its meant to add durablity to the phone and if you were to do a botchy job at home and try pass it off if it got damaged, they would probably void the warranty as it's seen as a modification which is strictly no no lol.
How bad is the scratch(es), I had very small surface scratches on my ASF before I put my screen protector but I can no longer see them any longer and perhaps this would be a good option for you.
Sadly the SONY logo is printed on the ASF so I wouldn't personally take it off, I like knowing Its there for what ever reason lol. Also I contacted SONY support and they said, if you remove it yourself, your will void your warranty, it's a modification. So, take it back to a sony dealer/repair shop and see what they can do for you
goodluck
Same doubt!
this is really a very annoying design flaw by sony. why on earth would they put a scratch prone anti shatter sheet on top a scratch proof mineral glass? worst case is, they even printed the sony logo on top of this sheet.
