Unable to open VCF from mms

My phone won't open, or add incoming vcf sent to me via mms.

Hi @iMott1, I am sorry to hear that. Slightly_frowning_Face

What happens when you press on it, are you immediately presented with an error message - and if so, what does it say? In addition, are you able to save other MMS messages such as photos to your device?

If you have not done so already, could you try pressing and holding on the .vcf file and pressing "Save contact" rather than just tapping it, does it then ask you where to save or do you get an error? If you can't save it directly, could you press and hold on the file and choose Forward message, and then tap the contact file while composing a new message to see if that works?

Out of curiosity, do you have a warning for low available storage in your notification bar?

Let me know how it went! Slightly_smiling_Face

G'day @Emir, when I press on it immediately get an error message that reads "Memory full. Could not import contacts"
I currently have just over a gb to spare on internal memory, but this has been happening since new.
I can still download pictures from mms.
I have forwarded to my email, I can open it there. As text. So I have the number this time. But in future I was hoping to find an easier way.
My Z2 has been this way since new. My Z1 used to just save it to contacts.

I also tried all your suggestions, without success. This would seem to be a bug in the Messaging app, because I have another messaging app installed (my ISP asked me to trial it but I don't particularly like it) and when I try to Save to contacts from that app, it works without error.

I'm having trouble viewing contacts sent by text.  When I tap or hold down on it, I receive a message that says,  "This file type can't be opened. /part/3379"   Is there a way to see the contact information?
