Sony z3 compact xperia back and home button not working

I am using z3 for almost a year and dint have any issues. Since last two updates i am facing two problems.

1. The drop down notification menu does not displays properly when slided over from top to bottom

2. Back and home button works once in a blue moon. Previously they were working great. Now i will have to try for more than 25 times to make that happen or restart the device.

Please let me know if this is a software issue caused by the latest software release or is there a way to bring back the old version of software. Eventually i need a working software and not this piece of ugly software quality.

Please respond when this issue will be resolved.

Hello Ihave the same problem but in experia sony z2 that the upgrade to "6.0.1 Marshmallow" now home button does not work, none of the three below and the action does not work down notifications above is as if the upgrade would cut a piece the screen up and down just have to wait out a new software update see what happens, remove all the phone inside and check the connectors are all clean, water never entered on the phone.

I have the same problem and have tried a keyboard with mouse by OTG and everything works perfectly'm sure the touch is well what are the parameters fails software touch

I sell my DSLR camera to buy this z3c high end phone that is more expensive than my camera.. Now after 18 months it is like a trash.. The same problem come to me, i think this is such a bad bad quality if the digitizer is the problem.. But if the update download that caused this, so SONY has to be responsible of this.
I won't buy a thing from you AGAIN!

I've sent my Z3c to sony service on 26 september for same problem and still waiting for it..Last week i called and asked for infos and they said that are still waiting for replacing parts.... hope they will manage to give it back to me before christmas... meanwhile i use my immortal Nokia N900 that i bought in 2009. I will let u guys know what parts they changed as soon as i will get my z3c back

Am a similar problem, but here is case where the screen is working perfectly but the back key, home key and the apps key is not responsive. Only those three keys are not responding when touched. Any solutions to solve those problems

Same Problem: virtual buttons don't works in vertical screen but they work in horizontal screen. Screen it's Ok because in vertical or horizontal when app is opened and buttons are hidden the screen works perfectly. I have tried with safe mode and it is same behaviour.

Exact same problem, I've downloaded 'Back Button' app from The Play Store which gives you a floating, Back, Home, Apps and Notifications button, they work a treat. I just hope the next update fixes this soon.

exact the same problem, buttons are not working anymore !

It's a sofware bug from Sony ! Since the screen is touchable in that region.

Also installed the back app as temporaray solution.

When will you fix this bug Sony ? I guess you'll lose a lot of customers with that kind of bugs
