Sony z3 compact xperia back and home button not working
I am using z3 for almost a year and dint have any issues. Since last two updates i am facing two problems.
1. The drop down notification menu does not displays properly when slided over from top to bottom
2. Back and home button works once in a blue moon. Previously they were working great. Now i will have to try for more than 25 times to make that happen or restart the device.
Please let me know if this is a software issue caused by the latest software release or is there a way to bring back the old version of software. Eventually i need a working software and not this piece of ugly software quality.
I am facing the same issue now. Seems like it has been an issue since October last year but until now no solution has been offered by Sony. The most effective and long lasting solution ive read so far is to send it to service center for repair which will cost you about half the price of the original phone. But it is intriguing that almost everyone who had exprience the issue has encountered the issue around a year after they bought it. By this time warranty period has been lapsed. So you will be forced to buy a new phone instead. Seems like a scam to me. Never gonna buy another xperia!!
Unfortunately I have the same problem with my Xperia Z3C. Have been using it for a year and 8 months and suddenly that happened, which makes me very upset and disappointed, cause I really love my phone.
A week or so later and the problem has now spread to the notifications area. The same size area is not responding to touches. To make it worse, screen replacement where I am for now in Germany costs 50% more than in Australia or the UK.
Yes, that's right. I send my phone to Sony for repairing. After two weeks I got it back and they solved the problem. The screen is just working. By the way, it seems, that they send me a new one.
