No sound for incoming SMS messages
Please help! Incoming SMS messages are silent. There is no sound on the phone when they arrive. Phone ringtone and all other sounds/speaker work fine. Is there an adjustment or setting for SMS or do I have a phone problem?
Thanks for your help.

Have you checked the settings? If you open up Messages > Settings you find the notifications settings for text messages.

Also check so that notifications are not blocked for the messaging app. You can check this under Settings -> Sound & notification -> App notifications -> Messaging.

I don't want to put to factory settings. This phone is only a few months old.
This occurred after the last update.
