Can the Sony Xperia Z3 be downgraded from Kitkat to Jelly Bean 4.4.2?

I switched from a Verizon Wireless Samsug S4 to the Xperia Z3 with T-Mobile. A good portion of the decision for going with Sony, was the ability of using the Playstaion Mobile App with the Xperia line which was told to the T-mobil store employees by the Sony rep. However, it appears that you can only use the Playstaion Mobile App on Xeperia phones with Android OS upto 4.4.2. Can the Sony Xperia Z3 be downgraded from Kitkat to Jelly Bean 4.4.2? and is it possible without voiding the warranty?

Sorry for the confusion, the app I'm speaking of is the PlayStation®Mobile which allows you to play the Playstation Mobile games.

You can manually downgrade but its not worth it as psm games aren't that great
