Docking mode

I have just received a cradle for my Tablet.

When in docked mode (I use the clock) I get notifications for emails. If I look at the email, how can I get back to the docked mode (Clock) without lifting the tablet out of the cradle and replacing it?

Have you tried the recent apps button ? (third icon bottom left of the screen?
