Rear speakers for Ht St-5000

Is it possible to link the HT ST-5000 soundbar to other rearSpeakers via bluetooth.  So far I have not been able to link the soundbar using Sony Songpal to SRS-XB20, which is a great surprise considering the inital cost of the soundbar. If not, will sony be  be adding this feature via a software update?

Hi Ian,

I don't think this is possible.  The soundbar is compatible with the wireless multi room function, but the speaker isn't.

Thanks for the info. Sony support sent me a list of compatibles and you are right my wireless speaker is not on the list.

Sods law I bought the wrong speaker. New one on its way.

Eon 123 i just bought my new bravia 65" xh 9505 2 months ago and i m looking now on soundbars. I m very sad for ht st 5000 wich is the flagship of the company but doesn t have sorround speekers as samsung q950t or lg sn 11r. I hope rhey will rethink this. Are you huppy enough  with the soundbar generally?
