which dvds are compatible?
hi,
i have got a new sony 315s, which is the one with the dvd+/-rw.
i wrote some data to a dvd+rw, and when i tried to access it on my pc, which has a normal cd/dvd drive, it didint work. it dvd was spinning, but the explorer just looked liek it crashed. then when i took teh sbs back out, the pc was back to normal.
i also tried the dvd on a sony dvd player, and the dvd player said 'it cannot play it'.
i was thinking that i am using dvd discs that are not compatible with these drives? so which dvd should i use?
i only bought these dvds because they cost £6 for 5. and i bought a 'verbatim' and 'philips' make.
thanx

Cheap disks spell disaster.
Also combi drives don't really like DVD writing media.
Try using some - ones.

No, not at all.
Just try different media, as some disks are temprimental.

No problem, it can be frustrating to find good media these days for a good price.
