VGN-FS315m Display driver

Hi all, please be kind. (Virgin user). I am trying to update the nvidia display driver for my New laptop. However, i can't seem to find the right one. On the Nvidia website i went to download the current forceware drivers. Drivers-Graphics driver-Gforce- win xp. This resulted in no supporting hardware being found. Then i tried the Geforce Go 78GTX with the same result. My chipset is the Go 6400. can anybody point me in the right direction please for updated drivers.

Welcome to the tea party Maddy,
Firstly, Sony as you may well be aware are control freaks. If you buy piece of kit from Sony you can't just run off to another manufacturer and grab their drivers even if the manufacturer made the part which Sony are using in your lappie. You must use only Vaio Link to obtain drivers.
Go to Vaio Link and it will automatically recognise your laptop and display the correct drivers for you to download and install.

I have a similar problem with my FS-295XP

The drivers are quite old, (May 05), and have problems with some newer games I want to play on my laptop.

Sony, please release some newer NVIDIA GeForce Go 6200 Graphics Driver, even if they are beta releases. Power users will be happy to feedback results....

Please give us an update, nvidia is doing now 8x.xx drivers and we have got 7x.xx ....

Please stop posting this link, it's no good.

The latest they have is 61x detanators, even older than the Sony ones.

The real solution is, to force Sony to support their products, or sell the laptop, and buy from a manufacturer than CAN support their products.

It's pretty shamefull that my new £1000 laptop cannot play the latest games, yet a crappy £500 toshiba can.. Something wrong here...

Try these for now.

Obviously not supported by Sony.
