I'm having problems finding any software/drivers (updated) for this Vaio model.
1. I couldn't find the Vaio Recovery Utility for the recovery partition anywhere. This is why I'm not able to boot the laptop with the assist button. The laptop was wiped and I only see 500Gb, instead of 640. I believe that's the hidden partition.
2. The Vaio Update service from Vaio Care gives an error: it launches IE and calls the link http://vu.sel.sony.com/vuinvalidinfofile.html wich gives an HTTP 403 error. How can I make this work?
Thank you!

Hi seb_ss and welcome to the Sony User Community forums.
If you have wiped the hard drive, the best thing to do is to manually download and apply any available updates. You can download them from the Support pages for your model here: -

Hello, thank you for the fast reply and link. The big problem is that I don't find the Vaio Recovery Tools, the ones that creates the secondary partition that can be used to recover, safe boot or other features from the assist button. Thank you!
