Net MD
I want to know if it's possible to use the Net MD like a storage unit, like a "portable HDD".
Thank's for your answer.

I don't think it can be used like that - MD has never really been used for data.
I maybe wrong ?

IIRC a couple of years back Sony was planning to release somekind of MD storage medium. Too bad it never saw the daylight. Why would you want to use it anyway because what I read about it a disc holds just about 140MB of data?

At some point Sony was also working on a 4 times bigger than a standard 140MB MD called the MDQD(Quadrupple MD). It was supposed to have about 650MB.
There's a rumour circulating that Sharp is working on a 2GB MD.

Now that would be nice, though I don't have an MD.

There is no option to use your NetMD as data storage.
The only way to access the drive is through SonicStage, and that does not allow data transfers.
This is intended as an Audio Only application.
Considering the media price for CDRs and the capacity, it would be pointless to use the MD anyway.
