huh?

I just bought a FS395. and I have a few questions:
why do i have 35 programs running at startup? do they matter?
and why did I get 5 spanish manuals? and even though I KNOW that you're supposed to make your own recovery discs it still makes me mad... WHY NOT get a disc when you buy this computer for half-a-years-salary? WHY? And another thing you get around 70gb on your computer... biut when i start it up it's filled to the brim whit *pling* i don't need. (or maybe would need if you'd get a manual to show what they are. and the manual not written in spanish...)
I ¨like the computer but not tha way i feel overlooked... I feel stupid and I still have a week and a half to return my computer and get some other companies s*pling* cheaper...

/crazy legs "that does not speak spanish"

Yes, they do.

Because you bought in Spain?

Because Elvis is still alive.
And another thing you get around 70gb on your computer... biut when i start it up it's filled to the brim whit *pling* i don't need.
I thought that's happen to all OEM PCs.:smileydrooling:

You can download a manual in your native language. Check VAIO-Link for that.

For a full list of startup applications, and a guide to whether any particular application is necessary, have a look here.

You can uninstall that what you don't need. For example VAIO-Update. Most software which runs in background is isntalled for an easy to use. Like qttask.exe and so on. If you want check what you need or not, the google the exe files in start-up.

But if you talk about the Task manager, then I have to say that Windows XP SP2 need alot more resources than SP1. And it runs much more background processes.

BTW, click here for the manual .

You can use tune up utilities startup manager to examine your startup programs and remove them from starting up.

I think I had 30 plus but have got it down to 14.
The difference in boot time is phenominal.

(and yes I'm still alive:smileygrin: )
