Fan pb on Vaio laptop pcggrt715M

(I have bought this laptop for about 8 months)
The fan is always running "at full speed", even when I do nothing
the pb is that is didn't do that when I bought it
I don't know what I can do

Clean the vents.

thank you but I've already done this ....
(I flashed my bios and installed all the windows xp updates ....)

Apparently, some BIOS updates actually speed up the fan, usually because Sony find their last settings unsatisfactory.
