Hi
The specs says my A417M has 3 USB ports and it's USB2. However when I plug in a USB2 device into one port the A417M freezes until I unplug it (the port on the left). Then when I plug it into either of the two ports at the back a XP pop-up says it's a USB2 device and it could operate faster if it were plugged into a USB2 port (and click here to see which one) - so I click and it lists a USB2 port - but which one is it? All three are supposed to be USB2. When I right-click My Computer and look into Hardware tab and devices etc there seems to be 3 USB hubs defined and one USB2 - that's four - but there are not four ports! What's that all about???? I need this FusionHDTV DVB-T on a USB2 because digital video would be too slow on USB. Are these ports USB 2.0 BUS powered??? Do I need to buy a powered USB2 hub and plug it in??? But I'm not convinced that any of the three ports are USB2 yet ... Any ideas??? Thanks.
From what it says they're all USB2
No idea why they're not playing ball
According to Specs your 3 USB ports are are USB2. Try going into the Bios at startup and loading default.
After several power on/off with FusionHDTV plugged-in and reinstall of FusionHDTV drivers it all seem to come good .... and btw the HDTV product seems to be very good. I bought the A417M in the UK but I'm in Aus where I bought the FusionHDTV.
I still don't understand why (although I am an IT professional!) - and I'm deciding whether to download and install latest version from the DVICO web site (they make the usb tv).
Thanks anyway.
Strange how sometimes things can just work
