KDL-32P3020 DARKER SCREEN AND SLOW UPDATE

My Sony Bravia KDL-32P3020 panel keeps going darker and with a slow refresh rate so objects look blurred.  It lasts for about 30 mins and then resolves itself.  Can happen when I 1st switch it on or after the panel has been on for a few hours.  Nothing I can find on the menu resolves the issue.  It is a few years old so guess it could be on the way out.  Any advice?

Hi there

In regards to the "darkened" screen, it sounds as thought the black light is on its way out.  However in regards to slow refresh rate, I dont know.   My advice is to take the TV to an authorised Sony Repair Centre for them to check it out.  However due to the age of the TV, it may be uneconomical to repair.
