How to stop the start beep on the KDL-32EX711

How can I switch off the start beep of the bravia TV KDL-32EX711.

There is no option in the sound menu for this irritating sound.

I have another model but it may be similar

On the remote press HOME> sound> scroll down to START-UP-SOUND > press OK to switch it between ON /OFF

Please note if you switch off the beep sound it will switch off the SONY logo displayed at start up too.

No START-UP SOUND to switch ON/OFF on the sound page of the KDL-32EX711.

in that page, it shows something about Lights up or turns off the Sony logo on the front of the TV. you may give it a try to switch it off and see if start sound will stop too.
