Streaming issues

Hi.. I have a BDP S580 and Windows 8. I have  network plugs so internet travels in the house wiring. I cannot seem to be able to play content from my PC via the dvd player. I have them all hooked up to the router but cant fathom it out. Anyone out ther can help..THx

Couple of things to test out

• Is the Blu-ray player online - i.e. can you access BBC iplayer from the list of icons?
• What DLNA streamer ar you running on the PC? Can try installing homestream www.sony.co.uk/homestream which will then allow you to stream content from your device to the Blu-ray player.
