Re BDP S185 audio up down not working via remote

I have a  BDP S185 Blu-ray player, connected by hdmi to my LGOLED55C9PLA TV. I find that the volume in the TV has to be at 85-90/100 to play Blu-ray disks, whereas when playing video from an attached HDD the volume needs to be 15-20. The  BDP S185 Remote has a volume up down button, but appears to do nothing, certainly there is no audio bar on the TV screen & makes no difference to the TV volume.

there doesn’t appear to be volume adjustment buttons on the  BDP S185 device itself. Hoping there may be a service menu where I can alter the audio output level.

This is probably due to a setting on the BD player. You need to disable BD Audio mix, see instructions here.
