trying to connect this recorder to my Samsung LCD TV via HDMI, I select the approriate HDMI input via the TV menu, but instead of the setup screen I get a box in the top left corner of the screen "HDM1 1920x1080 @50Hz". None of the buttons on the DVD remote respond, I've tried inserting a DVD and pressing play, I can hear the machine working but nothing on the screen.
