I record a lot of my TV programs using Windows Media Center, the files are recorded as .wtv format. Can anyone tell me if the sony blu ray bdps3100 can play these files over the network using the DLNA function?

My guess is that its unlikley. Wiki Says its propritary http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WTV_(Windows_Recorded_TV_Show)
I remember the old DVR-MS container that XP Media Centre used and that was a nightmare.

I don't know the answer specifically for wtv file, what I found out on my BDP S5100 is that if a file cannot be played from USB/DVD directly on the set top, it doesn't work also via DLNA even if the PC is able to play it locally.

Does anyone else own a BDPS3100 and have experience of playing this file format via DLNA?
