My Sony CMT-U1 Hi Fi has started to malfunction. This is a few years old but has not been used that often. Essentially when a CD is inserted the Reading message shows briefly followed by an Eject message whereupon the CD is ejected. Several CDs have been tried all of which are commercially manufactured audio CDs. Any suggestions please as to whether this a soft error which can be overcome by some form of reset or a hardware malfunction. The standard reset option described in the manual has no effect.
