Hi.
Can anyone help me please? I used to be able to bluetooth music from my Windows 10 laptop to my A/V receiver via a Chilli Plug (a UK bluetooth receiver) but having had to do a "factory reset" recently I no longer can and would like to get the function back. My Fujitsu laptop is running Bluetooth V5.12 and the Chilli Plug v4.1+EDR.
On the STR-DN1040 I've plugged the phono leads from the Chilli Plug into the Audio/Video1 sockets and in its Settings/Input section I've set Video1 to "Listen". I pair the laptop and Chilli Plug ok, select a track to play via WinAmp on my laptop, select Video1 as the input on the remote control and I get nothing from the Sony receiver.
Is there some setting I've forgotten all about, could it be Bluetooth version incompatibility, or could it be Microsoft screwing up Bluetooth in Windows 10 again??
Many thanks for reading this and extra bonus points if you can pinpoint what's wrong!

Sorted, I think. After cranking up the volume to 65+ I heard a peep from my speakers. Yes, it was the source music from my laptop. So there we have it: incompatible BlueTooth levels dropping the volume level. I've ordered a Bluetooth v5 transmitter/receiver and hopefully my problems will be solved.
I honestly doubt it has anything to do with the receiver if it was working fine before since it's essentially just an input that's played back.
Have you tried sending audio using a different device? That should clear things right up.
