I have just reinstalled the Ebook reader library to see if it helped with ebook reader store but then I had to redo passwords for both that and Adobe and nothing works. Adobe cannot help nor can Sony - the whole situation seems crazy. I will not bother with the Sony ebook store as I can books from other sites and put them on the reader library to transfer to the reader itself. However I think the website for the Sony ebooks store is very bad and really the link with Adobe does not really work either.
I have the same problem,
Even though I put in the correct password as I am able to log into adobe site and adobe editions.
When I try from the device or even the reader store, I have this problem, for some reason I can
buy by cancelling the sign in and I can even read the books I buy, but It is
very poor.
The problem is that you can not buy the books on the store via the computer because of this error,
the work around which is limited is that you find the book and buy it form the
device as you can just press cancel on the sign in for the adobe.
I like the fact you can buy from other stores, sony is good unlike kindle.(restricted)
I think we should express our problems and hopefully they will actually do a decent test and get
their software sorted, I mean the product is very good and I'd pick the Sony
ready over a kindle or kobo any day, Sony reader is sooo satisfactory, its just
the stupid software that lets it down.

Haven't been able to access the e-reader store from the e-reader since I bought it, ( error -99999 )
Can do it via the computer but not the reader.
Have rung/e-mailed support who said yes this was a known problem and it would be sorted "by the end of the day" this was a week ago.
Poor show from Sony,why have a reader store that can't be accessed on the move.
Wish I had never bought the reader,I expected everything to work properly.
Don't imagine Sony give a toss.

It is a real shame you know, because their products are soo good. I cant rate the actual reader enough, that I had the 300 then the pocket 350 touch which by the way is the best one i have had since 2009 and decided to upgrade and have the tx1 and i'm having this problem..
I'm guessing my issue isnt as bad as yours. I recommend calling them again, I'm going to call them also, they have got to sort this out, its stupid, I can do everything fine on the Sony Tablet S Reader App, but not on the Software via windows.
They just have a bad software team, they need to sort that out.
also they need more newspapers, i got fed up of the daily mail and guardian
