Hi
I've been given a present of a PRS-T1 which was purchased in Canada. I'm in Ireland but have registered the eReader as in the UK as there is no provision for Ireland in the registration process.
I've upoaded the "Reader for PC" onto my computer, downloaded the free books from the Sony website, and followed the instructions provided by a post on the Community section (I think dated 29.12.2011) - clicked on "sync", ticked the "books" category, etc. "Sync in progress appeared and seemed to complete so I disconnected.
The result is the excerpts of books which were featured on the eReader have disappeared and the books I hoped to upload haven't featured.
I don't care about the deletion of the excerpts but can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'd like to be able to say I'm enjoying my christmas present but so far I've just spent my time accessing websites and attempting to obtain information.
Help!

Don't know if the purchase area matters, but I think there are differences with Eire.....
However, you could just install Calibre and go for an easy life, and it wont matter if you have problems with Reader - can't use the wi-fi, but it is a superb tool, and the worlds best management system, frankly.
And all those free books ?
You can get 'em from Project Gutenberg, MobileRead Forum, etc...They will be "classics" out of copyright, so choose your own. The "selection" usually consists of 60% you don't want and 20% you've read and didn't like !
