Touchscreen not working on PRS-650

My touch screen on the PRS-650 has stopped responding on the bottom third. I tried the 'back to default' settings suggestion by one kind chap- fine that worked but now I cannot go beyond set the language because the screen does not respond to the OK button!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, it sounds like a repair is required.
