My PRS-T1 was working fine really like it, but:

Solved! Go to Solution.
I've found the solution.
Open reader software on the pc and de-authorize the reader and unplug then plug back in and it should automatically authorize again.
You do the de-authorization by going to info - edit - preferences - authorization - then de-authorize the device (not the pc).

Hi Ian,
have you contacted Sony support regarding the error code 99999 message.?
Yes three times,e-mail and phone.
Clueless,absolutely.
Ian
Didn't work for me though.
It is about time Sony sorted this out.
They are quick enough to take your money.
Ian
I have the same problem with the 99999 error but sometimes it does let take me to an Adobe Id and email password confirmation screen. Sadly when I enter my details it does not accept them and asks me to re enter.
I then cancel the adobe request which disappears and I can enter the store and access my account details, I can but a book but I cannot down load the book. BUMMER.
Hi all,
it would seem that this error 99999 message is not actualy a Sony one but is a Adobe/Reader Store issue..
If the de-authorise/Authorise mentioned above does ot help then the only workaround appears to be doing a hard reset of the reader to erase the DRM protction & then re-set up & try again..
Would anyone like to try this & see if it works for you.?
I have recently had my PRS-T1 returned after a warranty repair in which (I was told) the motherboard was replaced, so the device hardware & software should be "clean". I now get this error -99999. I have an ongoing correspondence with Sony support in which they have had me do the de-authorise/re-authorise procedure and the hard reset, none of which works. I await the next "solution".
