Has anyone any idea why my Sony eReader PRS-350 will not turn on. It has been doing this for a just over a week now and I didn't think to much into it but now its getting a bit annoying.
I charge my reader up when connected to my PC, and when chargeing completes the reader says "Charge complete" great! BUT Monday morning i get my train and the darn thing will not turn on. I have tried pressing the re-set button etc but nothing happens.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated as I am now going round the bend.

Hi Klauzer,
if your reader is only a week old then yes I would be tempted to return to the retailer..
In the Sony Support PRS-350 section they mention that moisture/condensation can be a cause for the reader not switching on.
Just out of interest when the reader is connected and charging via your computer can it then switch on?
For a fuller explanation of your problem go to Sony Support/PRS-350/Tips and solutions section.
Yes, once I have charged it I then turn it off leave it for a little while and then switch it on later. it will turn on then but in the morning nothing happens. Once or twice it has switched on in the morning and lasted the day, but the following day nothing.
Hi Laura,
welcome to Questions & Answers..:smileyhappy:
It can takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery using USB, when your Reader states it is fully charged does the battery icon reflect this.?
Also was this how you tried to reset your Reader.

Sounds duff, but just a "last ditcher" - did you leave it charging on PC/laptop overnight, say ?
It is possible, should your computer have an auto close-down, that it drains the battery. If you have a wall charger with a plug that fits - but not anything Apple related, they aren't good - might be worth trying that.
Or, just bung it back, which might be the best solution.
Don't forget, if you're in UK, unless you bought it from Sony direct, your contract is with the retailer/supplier who supplied it, and they have to replace/refund/sort it out. If they tell you to contact Sony, tell them that's their job...
This also applies to Sony Centre's, by the way - who, strange as it may sound, are nothing to do with Sony Corp !
Quote the "Sale of Goods Act", and they should realize you're not to be messed with. They are liable under the law.
'Course, if you got it from Sony, the situation is the same, but the process won't be quite so hands-on ! See your PM's.
Good idea to look up the Act, which is a terrific piece of consumer law, if you're unfamiliar, first.
"WHICH" , I know, and the Citizen's Advice Bureau I imagine, do a very easy to read explanation of your rights under this act of law, but you'll find a number of brief run-downs if you Google it.
Good luck.
