Try this...

Turn the reader off

Reset the Reader by pressing a small pin or clip into the Reset hole on the  bottom of your Reader.

Slide the Power switch to Start the Reader.

When the screen displays Opening Book

Press and hold both the Page Back and the VOL + button simultaneously until the Reset all screen appears.

Press Yes to continue.
