Dear Sony & Reader users,
I was hoping to get my Reader software better organised. To do this I updated my .epub and .pdf files' metadata using Calibre to better reflect the book titles and authors. Now the files are nicely adjusted. But when I emptied the library folder, copied in the new files and reloaded the new files into Reader, all the books were still displayed with the original inaccurate titles and authors. Apparently the software has a database file somewhere that it matches to the new files. So I uninstalled the reader software and reinstalled. It asked me whether I wanted the old database reused and I told it no, but the files still show in Reader with the incorrect metadata. So apparently in an uninstall the old database file isn't deleted and it's still reused even though I told it no on re-install.
Does anyone know if or how I can reset Reader's database so I can have it re-index the new files's metadata?
