When you say reset, do you mean hard reset.

If you have purchased books using your ADE login and password and hard reset your reader it may lose the ADE authorisation. If that happens you will no longer be able to read those books.

Why not go to the Adobe website and ask for a reminder

There's probably a prompt of some kind below the space for your password, like the classic "Forgotten your password ?" - hit that and you should be able to retrieve it.
