Cannot transfer e-books

PRS 505 purchased (used) on e-bay.Trying to transfer downloaded e-books on to reader but getting message "cannot transfer e-book as reader is authorised to another user." Help, please.

Hello robin - the reader has to be de-authorised, and you then re-authorise it in your name.

I'm pretty sure this can only be done (de-auth...) by the person it is at present authorised to (passwords etc...) which may not, of course, be the ebay seller......

I hope someone else may correct me, but if not, contact Sony in case there is another solution.
