WiFi issues

Our phones keep looking WiFi connection. They still show the WiFi symbol along with the little arrows but won't connect. Switching WiFi on and off tells me our home router is saved but it won't reconnect the only way to reconnect is to restart the phone which then automatically connects to our WiFi at least for an hour or so. I've tried resetting to repair my phone, I've checked our router but stillborn joy any other help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

As Alex said the only solution seems to be to restart the phone. This is not really a solution and looking around the forums suggests that there is a software problem. So until sony accept this the only solution is to restart the phone, thankfully as Akex saud it has a quick reboot.

Hi,

Do you have the possibility to try with different networks? It would be interesting to see if same behaviour appear at another network. I also suggest that you make sure that your router has the latest firmware to see if this can help.

I have checked my wifi and all is ok there. Unfortunately I don't have the possibility of trying a different network.

It is getting a little ridiculous now. Is it just us having this problem? Anyone been able to solve the problem or have any ideas as to how to solve the issue?

Would checking the assign fixed IPs address when dynamic fails help solve the problem.

Just to clarify, did changing your IP to static fix the problem?

No it still didnt fix the issue. I've noticed that overnight plugged in charging that wifi stays connected - well at least it is connected when I go to bed and is still connected when I get up.

I have managed to connect a different router to our home network but still end up not able to remain connected all day. Should i return our phones to Tesco as they must be faulty? Is there something else that Sony support can suggest to rectify the issue? Or is it a router or home network problem and if so what should I be looking for/asking our provider (uwclub)? Help please as at the moment I am feeling like we need to ditch sony we cant keep restarting our phones just to get wifi.

One last thing I can suggest is that you make a full reset of your device. And when you configure your unit again and adds your Google-account, make sure that "Back up your device's apps, app data, settings and Wi-Fi passwords" is not marked to see if this can help.

I also have the same problem as everyone here .  I tried everything but the ONLY solution for now it's just restarting the phone and wifi works again , It's really annoying because I have to do the same thing at least 2 or 3 times at day .  But due to the phone boots quick , it's not a big deal to me at all .

The only problem that I'm facing now it's something that I don't know if it's an ilusion or it's real  lol .  I remember that the first days that I bought this phone , All youtube and other app videos play in 480p . But yesterday I saw my phone playing videos in 360p , I tried to change the conf in the youtube app but it only appears , 360p like the highest resolution ,

It's my phone , or everyone has the same problem ? .
