Last month I purchased Xperia E3 dual (Android 4.4.2) When I make a call using Bluetooth hands-free I cannot hear the ringtone and voice of the person at the other end. Similarly when I try receiving an incoming call using BT, the only thing I can hear is the initial beep sound and then silence followed by another beep sound when the other person disconnects the call. I cannot hear the other person's voice at all. Till a few days ago BT on my phone worked fine (paired with HM1100 BT handsfree device) and then just stopped for reasons unknown. I'm not sure if it got impacted by any software updates/downloads that happen automatically. Please suggest a solution or work-around. Thanks in advance!
I have installed SonyPC-companion, but there it has fixes to BT devices from Sony (like Smart Wireless Headset Pro, Stereo Bluetooth Headset SBH50, Stereo Bluetooth Headset SBH52 etc.) and not for the BT devices from other manufactures. My Bluetooth device HM1100 (is from Samsung) works fine; there is no problem in pairing it with my other smart mobile from Nokia, and I am able to hear the ringtone and voice without any problems using that smartpone. So I guess, the problem is on my Sony Xperia E3 phone side only, which needs a solution.
I had to reinstall the OS on my phone as suggested by SONY support team; and that worked! Now I'm abl to connect thru my handsfree BT device successfully!
There might be issue in Samsung headsets. Make sure that the device you are using should be compatible with these headsets. The audio drivers, audio updates, audio upgrades should be properly done. Restart your phone and then again try o connect headsets with it. If still issue occurs then proceed to Samsung Hm1100 Manual for advanced options.
