Storage Space Issues After Backup

Hello,

Recently (and the past few weeks) I've noticed a trend where the default Included "Backup & Restore" feature would result me in losing about 300MB of my internal memory the moment it starts (sometimes not even finishing at all). This would of course result in the usual "Storage Space Running Out" warning and not being able to install any apps.

I can only assume the process is leaving behind a huge file of some description on my device, but I can't even begin to think were to look to remove it.

Any help appreciated,

~Jake

Do you have a SD card you can set your backup and storage to there or to the cloud  I had the same issue

The backup location was set to a online account, and it's sadly still happening.

I guess the internal memory works as a buffer storage for the backup before it gets uploaded to the cloud. But logic says that those files should be deleted as soon as the process is complete.

Did you try clearing you cached data?

Yes, didn't help.

And it seemed to have little difference on the storage space available.

Would you give this app a try? It's made by Google and it's pretty clever in clearing artifacts.
