Hi @Fitch4ty and @FloPdS,

I'm sorry to hear that the two of you are also experiencing this.

If this happens while using the camera application, is there any difference if you store your images to your SD-card compared to the internal storage? Are the shut downs still happening if you use the camera with your phone rebooted to safe mode?

Is there any change if you boot your phone without the SIM-card inserted? If your phone still shuts down during the booting process without the SIM-card inserted I would advise that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion using a computer. Note that this will reset the phone but there is a feature in Xperia Companion that allows you to backup your phone.

Let me know how it goes!

Having the same problems too. Got my phone from Argos in December and for the last two weeks the phone is powering off for no reason. It's starting to get rather annoying being a new phone. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi @Franny, I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing the same as everyone else in this thread. Have you tried the previous troubleshooting suggested here? Let me know if it helped or not.

Hi I tried several times to reboot the phone with computer, I lost part of my informations even if I normally saved them with the Sony app Slightly_frowning_Face and it was always the same. I tried to suppress some apps that I can't store in my memory card, desactivate some others and don't allow the automatic updates. but nevertheless the app update and continue working!! Very bad device 😥
What can I do now???

So?? No solution??
In an other thread you suggested to turn off the apps we don't need to gain some memory but it's doesn't work!! The apps update automatically even if I don't want. How stop that? How turn off definitely the Sony app we don't need? Let's answer please

I've had the same issues as the others on here, but mine could be five times a day and makes the phone unusable. It's a pretty new phone, and I'm disappointed as my previous Sony was brilliant. I've done all the resets possible from home, including all the pc companion stuff, so how do I get it looked at properly?

I'm in the same situation the phone worked just fine for a month , after that the problems started, the phone keeps turning itself off just randomly, now it doesn't charge the battery properly,I've already tried to remove the sim card and SD card without luck, and tried the companion option as well to reset the phone from factory settings .Do you guys think that there's going to be a soluton for this? otherwise the phone is still in warranty and i will request another brand if possible.

My phone switches itself off every time I plug it in to charge - last night it actually charged to 100% but it did switch off. On monday night it switched itself off 7 times during a charge and stopped charging - I never got past 75% charge in 4 hours (battery was at 49% when I started) I really wanted to throw the phone out of the window - is this going to be fixed as  looking at this forum there seems to be a lot of people in the same boat as me
