Hi @MediaMan,
There is a preinstalled application in your phone called "Docs" that you can use for this purpose. This is the Google docs application so it will synchronize all the documents to your Google account so you can access them from a computer or another phone, all you need is access to your Google account.
I can also recommend an application that is called Google Keep which is almost the same. I find Google Keep a bit easier to use and fits my usage better.
So have a look at these application or search for "Notes" or similar in the Google Play store and I'm sure you find an application that you will enjoy!
Let me know if that helps!

How do you do this excactly? I didn't seem to find anything with recemblance to a memo in my documents -application (finnish "tiedostot"). How do I start writing a memo?
Hi @memo_, welcome to our forum!
For a memo or a shorter message, I'd recommend Google Keep over Google Docs. Google Docs is more for taking notes and writing longer texts while Google Keep is better suited for memos, short shopping lists and so forth!
If you still prefer too use Google Docs you just need to open up the application and tap the Blue circle with a "+" sign on it and a new document will open up. Enter your text and if you tap the three dots in the top right corner you have some more options, such as making the document available offline.
I hope that helps!
