Is there a way to return my HX20v back to its factory settings?  My son used it for his art project and now it seems to be taking way too long to take a picture.

Hi Flossie, welcome to the Sony Forums

All Cybershot cameras use the same reset procedure, which won't erase your images, but it's always a good idea to download them first:

1. MENU (Settings) (Main Settings) [Initialize] desired mode [OK]

	REC Settings	This operation will reset the settings made at the time of shooting to default settings.
	All Settings	Resets all settings to default settings.
	Network Settings	Resets all network settings.

Make sure you don't remove the battery pack during the reset routine.
