Hi signalhuset and welcome.
The most reliable way is to use an iLink cable (aka Firewire Cable) like this: -
You will need a video editing program on your computer - Microsoft Movie Maker is free and works well.
1. Connect the HandyCam and the computer using this cable.
2. Turn on the digital camcorder by moving the POWER switch to the VTR position.
3. Cue the camcorder to the beginning of the video.
4. Turn on the computer.
5. Start the video capture software on the computer.
6. Begin playing the recorded video in the camcorder.
7. Begin importing the video with the capture software.
I hope your PC has an iLink port - if not does it have an ExpressCard or PC Card slot?
