Sony HDR CX6EK - Recording Problems

Hello, When I record video I have a problem with blurring and a slightly shaky picture which occurs about 10 - 15 mins after I start recording, I have tried a reset of the camera and powered off and on several times but unfortunately none of the things I have tried have been a success, any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi, welcome to the Sony forums

Is this happening indoors, or at low light levels? Slow shutter speeds are normal in those conditions, along with blurring of moving subjects.

You should check that Digital Zoom is set to OFF and have a play with the Steady Shot settings to see if that helps.

If you're shooting in brightly lit conditions there may be another issue. It would greatly help identify any problems if you could upload a clip to YouTube and post a link to it here.

Cheers

Mick

Hello Mick,

Thanks for your reply, this issue has shown itself in low light and brightly lit filming, its very strange because the recording is normally crystal clear then after 10 to 15mins I get shaky and blurred recording - oh and it has also happened with still images as well. I will upload videos on to my Youtube channel either Sunday or Monday and will post a link here as you suggest.

Thanks

Gary

I have heard of similar cases and it looks definetly like a defect of the steady shot oscillating out of order while recording. You need to send the camera to the repair service.
